And I agree with you that it's an ugly business. That's one of the reasons why I try not to get overly enamored with any player or coach. In 30 years I've had the rug pulled from under me three times - Perles, Saban and now MD.

Committed a felony while at MSU? Probably several. Charged with a felony? I would think a handful, but I forget exactly what charges were brought in various cases. Convicted of a felony? I can't think of many others that have been, but I don't remember a lot of the details or what the ultimate legal resolution was. But it seems like I remember a few guys from the 90s and early 00s that were facing felony charges, whatever the final verdict might have been. And I know there have been non-revenue sport athletes that have faced felony charges, but those usually don't make the news, especially in the pre-social media days.

Regardless of what others have done, if the Roberson charges are correct, he's a piece of shit and I hope he rots in prison, thinking every day of how he pissed away the opportunity of, at the very least, getting a college education, and possibly of being a multi-millionaire athlete.....all to try to get some pussy that wanted nothing to do with him.
