Look, what I was getting at in the one post is that the regular season SHOULD be able to accurately depict which teams are the best to some large degree. It shouldn't be random at that point. The favorites are known because they just spent 6 months kicking the shit out of each other. This is probably the soccer fan in me speaking, but the concept of playoffs where some random team wins cause "no chalk" means that your regular season, where 90% of the season was played, was essentially useless. In an NBA/NHL format id take 1 seed against 1 seed in the finals all day over 5 vs 7. That means you're seeing the best. There's no doubt at that point.

And they baaaaarely have to be competent to do so. Look at that red wings streak the area was so proud of. How many of those teams lost in the first round? Especially for the last decade or so. It only meant that they weren't terrible. Once you get to April, the whole NHL regular season that people paid money to watch never really meant a thing unless your team is treading water and sorta not really that good and had to fight at the end to make it.

Hockey has basically the same set up as basketball. But for whatever reason, there's prolly lots, the playoffs are somewhat less predictable as to who might end up in the finals. Sometimes an 8 seed goes and wins it. Maybe it's the 3. Maybe it's the 1. Who knows going in? People like that. I find it an affront to our sporting God in its never ending quest to find out the best team in a given year.

Yeah, I mean the thing is it's all good. I'm just not a fan of when someone presents a "well I don't like this one because it isn't exactly like this one that I like better" argument. It's a silly way to present things. Enjoy both dipshit. Enjoy the other ones too. It's possible. They don't even happen at the same time so it's as convenient as possible for you to enjoy them both. Don't refuse that gift youve been given.

Maybe wags is just trying to start discussion. At the same time, id rather talk about the actual league. A lot of off-season moves this year. Melo may end up in Houston soon. Cp3, melo, and harden? Sounds like three guys who are going to fight over the ball, a lot. But if they can mesh together you never know. I'm personally most exited to see Paul George and Westbrook play together. Obviously the celtics can finally challenge for the east. Lebron in a 7 game series though, not vs the warriors? Good luck. As you mentioned earlier - twolves should be good but I don't trust that coach.

CF- I liked the leuer pick up initially but he started to shoot like shit late in the season and faded. How about the dude from
Marquette - Ellenson or some shit? He needs to contribute.

I was trying to bring the discussion back. I love how we all feel like we have this ability to point out to people they should or shouldn't love something. From this discussion to music.

I didn't check out the upper deck seats- though I think that's where I'm sitting for the second game of the year- but in the lower bowl everything seemed great. I'd definitely go if I were you. Tickets are still relatively cheap, not a ton over last year at the palace level. Even beyond the game there's a bunch of stuff to do and look at just wandering around.

The upper level suites look awesome. They're basically hanging off of the ceiling. Looking forward to getting up there and checking those out.

You wanna know what occurred to me today Otpt? It'll be a really cool place for the first two rounds of the NCAA tournament. There are so many bars and restaurants accessible from the concourse that if the game in front of you is a shitty blowout you could head into one of those to watch the other games (I'm assuming they'd show them.) I'm sure they'll still make everyone leave then re enter between sessions, but at least you're right downtown instead of the middle of nowhere.
