Guy injures his knee and now they are saying they might have to amputate? Seriously? How is it that this has never happened before. Scary stuff.

Blew out his knee and probably broke it too. Vikings have never publicly said what exactly happened.

Joint dislocations are bad(I should know), not just because you usually also break something that has to be surgically repaired but things are moved out of place, and like in this case can cause an artery to be damaged/blocked/severed. If that happens you can lose blood flow to the extremity causing pretty rapid damage to the limb.
