WBH and other TV buffs
Considering upgrading to a 65". Not going to spend the $$ on a OLED. Based on the quick research it sounds like I should et 4K Ultra, HDR & 120Hz refresh rate. I'm a big fan of Samsung. I have a Samsung 58" plasma and 55" LCD. Pictures are awesome and never any issues. So I went on Bestbuy.com and found this Samsung that meets my specs:
But I also found this no-name brand I've never heard of. The one thing that has me considering it is the Height w/stand of 35.2". My entertainment center height is 35 3/8". This is the only 65" TV that I've seen that will fit with a stand. Otherwise I gotta buy a mount and mount it to the wall.
Here is a Sony consideration that I might be able to ram and jam into my opening.
TL:DR: Anyone ever heard of a Hisense TV?

Samsung, LG, Vizio, and Sony are good.
Power rankings would be Samsung - LG - Sony - Vizio.
Avoid Hisense unless you're using it for a guest/non-frequent-use TV.

I had a HiSense 4-5 years ago. Worked well until it got cooked by a lightning bolt.

I am not a TV buff. Sorry. I like my projector because the picture is huge.

Nordick, could you PM the links?
Or maybe see if Goose could post them, or someone else?
Not being an asshole, just giving options.

PM sent. Try posting one of them. For some reason I get "you can't do that error" when I try to post a bestbuy link. Here is a link to a review of the Hisense.

Re: WBH and other TV buffs
Just looking at the Hisense, if you're set on using the 4K features (HDR, etc.) for sure, I wouldn't get that one. The review said it's not too bright, and sometimes great movies/games using HDR need to be brighter.
I think you'd be disappointed with that model. I'll see what else you sent.

Re: WBH and other TV buffs
Go for a TV that has both HDR and UHD, there is a bit of a format war going on right now. I don't know which is winning, but some of the TV's do both. Then you don't have to worry about it.

Nordic I still haven't gotten the PM for some reason.
Just say the model number on here (6, 7, 8 or 9 series Samsung and I can probably find it) and I'll post some links.

I had the 49" version of this TV, my parents have this exact same one. It is awesome. Great picture, easy set-up, the 4K and HDR capabilities are awesome.
Whoa I can't post the links either! Says I don't have the rights to access this page.

I got a Sony 65 the week of the MSU/um “spike” game. Stayed home didn’t spend over a grand on two nights hotel, four tickets, tailgate, Friday dinner Sunday brunch. Added a couple hundred more and instead of being in EL for the game, I traded it for the 65 Sony from Costco. It’s been a dream. Love it. Picture quality etc. bought a roku for the basement. Good picture and I think it does a lot more than what I use it for.

Re: WBH and other TV buffs
I don't have much to add. I'm still rocking a 55" Samsung Plasma that is closing in on 10 years old. When I bought it they said the ghost image issue was taken care of. Not true. On a pure white image you can see where the EA logo was from a Madden game I used to play.
Anyway, other than that it has been a kickass tv. Do they even make plasmas anymore?

I looked at both. They have the exact same review rating on Best Buy.
If you want to save money, the Sony one is pretty good, but I'd recommend the Samsung over it honestly.

When does the ramming and jamming into your opening begin?
