LeBron James' agent, Richie Paul, has informed the Miami Heat that James will exercise his early termination option and become an unrestricted free agent.

LeBron has never been a Cleveland fan. While being employed by the Cavs and relying on Clevelanders to pay his salary, he opted to prominently wear a Yankees hat to an Indians playoff game and rock Cowboys gear at a Browns game. I don't care what team you root for, but it just makes sense, if you want the town to like you and support you, don't rub it in their faces, douche.

Kobe killed that possibility by refusing to take anything less than the max contract for the next 2 years. Kobe doesn't want Lebron to create a legacy in LA, he wants the Lakers fans to suffer for a while. Kind of a douche move if you ask me. It's not like people will forget what he did for them while in his prime.

The Lakers can't start rebuilding until Kobe and his contract are off the roster.

If he ends up in LA it will be with the Clippers. The original Big 3 they actually wanted was Lebron, Wade & Paul, but he was a free agent the year after them.
