Former Obama staffer has a podcast and it's worth listening to.

Jon Favreau (not the actor/director) has a podcast called The Wilderness which is about why democrats have lost so badly for so long. In statehouses, in congress, and most recently in the election of 2016. After some self-fellating about the history of the party, there are some pretty honest critiques about what's wrong with the democrats and what they might do to rectify the flailing party. There's some honest reflection on how controlling for all other factors, race does indeed play a fairly significant role in white votes. There's also an interesting episode about the non-college educated white voter and how outsized his power is due to the way our elections are set up and an admission that the democrats need that voter to win (barring significant change to the election system - which can't happen without that voter.... see the rub?) Anyway, it's an interesting podcast, if a bit over the top sometimes.
