So, if you're Cleveland, do you take Parker or Wiggins at the #1 spot?

NBADraft.net has Harris going to Denver at #11 and Payne to Chicago at #19.

He will be out through December and then will need to be worked in gradually. No way I take a guy that will be unable to do any real work in his first year when Wiggins and Parker are available. Then there is the issue of taking a big man that has already developed foot problems.

Question, what the hell is up with the lottery. If you finish last shouldn't you pick first?

The NBA likes to be different/or the whole thing is rigged. Not sure which.

The lottery is supposed to discourage tanking. Works well.

I can't remember who but didn't some teams get accused of tanking it recently? If true not sure it'a that good at discouraging.

Always a sad night for me.  Spend a couple years watching some guys develop and become great players, then they enter the NBA and I never see them again.

Several teams blatantly tanked this year. 6ers and Jazz fans waving their hands right nowl. Some were better than others at it. Some had coaches who weren't on board, sup Thibs.

I was being very sarcastic when I said 'works well'.

The Hawks tried to tank games, and couldn't tank as well as other teams. They ended up making the playoffs as an 8 seed and almost beat the 1 seed in the first round. That's how bad the NBA is.

Yup, despite every effort to not make the playoffs the Knicks just refused to take that spot from them. Phoenix was an original tank job too, but Hornacek coached his ass off and those guys played awesome this year. Dragic's stock went through the roof. Just remember that Houston let him & Kyle Lowry go to overpay Jeremy Lin. Bulls decided to tank once Rose went down but Thibs wasn't having it. Ironically Cleveland & Milwaukee were legitimately trying to compete.

Here's what I don't get about tanking: the guys that are on the floor are fighting for a paycheck and have pride. Regardless of the plan by management, every player in the league has talent.

In this sense, it's impossible to truly tank a game unless the players are in on it.

Players are never really in on it. They just assemble terrible teams. Take Philly, where they slowly traded away every semi-decent player they had. Never let Noel play even after he finally recovered from the injury. Eventaully guys like Thad Young say **** it and stop giving a ****. Hope they didn't ruin him. Can't imagine his thought process as he watched them let every other legit NBA player on the roster go as the season progressed. Gotta be hard to go into the office and actually give your all like it matters, That atmosphere can create really bad habits. MCW was visibly a much worse player by the end of the season as well. Be interesting to see if all those bad habits he developed stuck.

I just looked at SI's player ranking by position and they have Parker at a #3 and Wiggins at the 2, I thought it was the other way around? They're both 6'8", so I guess I can see it either way, but was Wiggins really a 2 at Kansas?

Parker comes off as a 2, but has the size of the 3 at 6'9 240lbs. Wiggins is actually smaller. He is a 3 but might be listed as a 2 because he is 6'8 200lbs.

76ers offered Cavs 3, 10 and 32 for 1. I take that all day if I'm the Cavs, not sold that Wiggins and Parker are the next LBJ/KD.

Cavs will take Parker. Fits a need and is the safer bet. I think Wiggins is overrated too.

I don't see him getting to the basket as much in the NBA. He surprised me this year, and by the end of the year was more than a shooter. But I do not see him making plays off the dribble in the NBA.

Agree. I think the same about Gary, but Gary can play defense.

I think Harris is a bit more athletic, and that is what makes him a better defender.

Bill Simmons is a complete idiot.

Says no players have slipped...10 seconds later says Vonleh slipping.

Says nothing about the Philly and Orlando picks, they announce trade, and then he say they seemed like odd picks.

Now says Harris is slipping. He was projected between 11-16. The draft is still in that range.

He is almost as dumb as Jalen.
