I know people are sick of it, but the writer says, "We figured the Spartans would have one of the better offenses in the country with the return of QB Brian Lewerke, RB L.J. Scott and WR Felton Davis among the myriad starters returning from the 2017 season. "

So you have LJ who redshirted due to injuries, Lewerke who was injured in week 6 officially (probably before that) and Felton who was injured in week 7. Which says nothing of the rest of the "myriad of returning starters". By week 3, we had only 3 out of our 10 returning offensive starters. So pretty much his whole reasoning on why our offense should have been good didn't happen. He mentioned that Wisconsin had injuries, and still called them the most disappointing, so fair enough if he doesn't factor injuries into his list. Fine, call us disappointing, but to not mention injuries, after referring to those three players specifically and other returning starters, as to why we should have been better, just shows that the dude pretty much just pulled out the pre-season rankings and then looked at final records, with no other research at all.

So yeah, I see why this guy is writing listicles and not real articles.

I read in an article (not sure where...maybe twitter...) Spartans had 1 starter play the same role all season on O. And 1 starter who started all season at numerous positions. That's it.

Which is just crazy stupid if you think about it.
