A friend who works for WOOD radio that carried Limbaugh’s 5 day a week 3 hour rant since 1988 told me the station was told they will be airing “Best of” for “at least” the next 4 weeks.

This shouldn't be surprising. You can't just replace 3 hours of programming on hundreds of stations at the drop of the hat. Even whatever plan they had in place for someone taking over the time slot, knowing that he would die soon, still need time to put those into place.

Now, if 6 months from now they're still airing Best Of Rush, that's a little odd. But ratings and dollars won't make that a feasible strategy.
