House committee and House vote had the tears.

Nixon resigned before it got to the Senate for a vote. Nixon, a lot like McConnell was very good at knowing when he had votes and he was toast after The Watergate hearings.

In today’s land of alternative truth at least 40% of the country and probably 50-55% of GOP voters in Utah will believe whatever FoxNews “commentators” , FoxMorning hosts and Trump2020 is spewing.

I think I'd pump the brakes a little on that. He directly called into question the legitimacy of Romneys Mormon faith. I'm not sure that will sit well. The largest newspaper in the state applauded it.

Jesus. The judiciary voted three of the five articles of impeachment against Nixon. Resolutions containing three articles of impeachment were adopted by the committee in July 1974. They were rendered moot when Nixon resigned but my point was of the 17 republicans on the committee those three days 6 of them said fuck you Nixon, what’s right is right. Article one was voted 27-11. And yeah, they were upset, but they did what was right.

Republicans voted for impeachment resolutions. After resolution one, I believe more than 6 did who were in the committee. Now when Romney votes to convict he’s threatened by recall because state legislators are afraid of Trump retaliation against the state. Think about that.

Parents of kids ages 0 to 5 would get $350 per month, or $4,200 a year
Parents of kids ages 6 to 17 would get $250 per month, or $3,000 a year
Parents with multiple kids could get a maximum of $1,250 per month or $15,000 a year; that translates to five kids between the ages of 6 and 17. Very large families would be somewhat penalized, but many families with three or four kids will get the full benefit.

It's a step towards UBI, which I like. It would reduce poverty, which is good. It cuts some other programs to pay for it, which I don't like. Do the good parts, but raise taxes on the rich to pay for it, would be my desire.

Mitt Romney has earned some grudging respect from me over the past 4 years, but he's still the same guy he's always been: a corporate raiding deficit hawk.
