Anybody cut their own hair?
I’m a hair bag. Needed a cut before the stay home order came out, but my barber went on her maternity leave early because of this whole virus dealio.
In truth, my hair isn’t that long, and my wife likes it longer, but it bugs the out of me when it’s like this. I’m considering cutting my own hair. Anybody already do this? I can probably find some videos onRedtube Youtube, but if you have any advice, I’m all ears, or I will be when I’m done hacking off my hairs.

Re: Anybody cut their own hair?
Suppose it depends on how you cut your hair. I use something like this
https://www.amazon.com/Self-Cut-Haircutting-79467-Trimming-Personal/dp/B07994GT2W
https://www.amazon.com/Complete-Cutting-Extended-Accessories-79300-1001/dp/B00006IVEN
I can't remember where I got my first, when that broke after 5+ years I picked up one of them from Meijer
Sides of the new clipper are a 1.5 guard. To get rid of any lines you just have to listen to the clipper for any areas it is/isn't cutting + roll the trimmer upwards as you're cutting near any change in guard size
I eventually picked up a #10 and 12 from Amazon for the top something like this
https://www.amazon.com/Oster-Universal-Attachment-Professional-Clippers/dp/B0002DHDIC
No ones going to see you anyways so... f it either way.

Let it grow. In a month I'll finally have enough on the sides to try a good comb over.

You and Jud.
Edit. I take that back. You and Keady. Jud’s was a comb-forward.

Hadn't thought about it. Got my hair cut 3 weeks ago today. 2 more weeks and I'm definitely gonna need another.
There could be a lot of hippie-ish looking people coming out on the back end of this if it goes too long.

I think I'm only cutting the sides - was going to let it all out but the sides bug me so will continue to trim that up
beard going full out though

Yeah, I prefer the comb forward but the way my hair is set up right now the comb over is more likely.

Got mine cut like two days before Whitmer ordered barber shops and salons to close, so it's been 18 days roughly. Optimally I get it cut every 21 days. By day 28 I have this wild cowlick slash mohawk thing going and it's not pretty. Lord help me.

I haven't paid for a haircut in over 20 years.
Of course, my hair looks hideous.. but the price is right.

Can the Flobee be purchased online?
I've known some people that have gone with the buzz cut, so that they or their room mate/SO could cut their hair without any skill needed. I've always been curious how I would look like that, but my wife probably wouldn't go for that.

I have cut my kid's hair after the KU loss in the tourney a few years ago. Some of you may remember that.

All of it or just one of those old-timey butch haircuts like my old man made me get until my parents got divorced?
I’m thinking about shaving my head, but my wife would kill me. Plus, there’s a couple of those bumps under my scalp that I’d probably obsess over.

So, aside from self-care, anybody starting to worry about their dog grooming?

Been cutting my hair for 25+ years and this is pretty spot on. Simple pair of clippers similar to CB. It takes some practice/trail and error to get it right. If you're picky, probably not a good idea
I need a cut tomorrow. Might just go straight buzz cut.

Thankfully, my dog doesn’t get groomed. She sheds like a mofo so I’ll brush her or use the furminator. She hates both. Figure if I’m going to cut my own hair I’ll save up what I get from the dog and use her fur to fill in the bald patches where I’ve screwed up.

All of it. I have some weird little bumps on my head too. Once I get used to looking like a tool I'll probably really like it actually.

Re: Anybody cut their own hair?
I found my set of Wahl Clippers. Handed then to my wife and said, don't worry, my hair grows back. Not too bad of a job. 2 more months, 100lbs lighter, die my hair black and in back in high school.

Anyone tried the furminator on their ownselves?
