Will we see our first veto override?

Looks like the admin wants little to no money in the next stimulus bill for testing, tracing, etc.  Many GOP senators want it and probably feel it could hurt them come November. Could this be the first real “break” from Trump? Will Trump stand his ground or cave at the prospect of the senate abandoning him. High stakes election poker on the horizon potentially.

The Trump administration is trying to block billions of dollars for states to conduct testing and contact tracing in the upcoming coronavirus relief bill, people involved in the talks said Saturday.

The administration is also trying to block billions of dollars that GOP senators want to allocate for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and billions more for the Pentagon and State Department to address the pandemic at home and abroad, the people said.

Well if you don't conduct any testing then you can't detect any Coronavirus. If there's no coronavirus detected then the pandemic must be over and you can flaunt that before the election. Genius on Trumps part.

Double edged sword. No testing looks good by the numbers. Until it makes the death rate go up. You can’t not report deaths.

Well yeah, but you can always blame the deaths on cancer of car crashes or other natural causes.

Calling anything in this administration “poker” is giving it too much credit. It’s Go Fish on a good day.
