It was.  And her weird nose.... But I agree it was great.  Surprised the hell out of me.  I just watched it because I have a mancrush on James Spader.

This 50 shades looks like Twilight but instead of the mysterious jackass vampire sweeping the vapid, sexually repressed, self-hating dummy off her feet, it's a jackass rich dude.

Exactly. That's my point. These books (Twilight, 50 shades, etc) are written specifically with poorly developed main characters to allow the reader (lonely woman) to place herself in the role of the protagonist. They are more professionally marketed harlequin romance novels.

This is not to say there are not male equivalents... They are called porns.
