Kind of a weird take. You seem to be putting words in my mouth. I’m not part of a group that whined about posters ruining the board. Seems like they thought it was horrible. Apparently, their solution was to ban someone.

I don’t think 4-5 people should get to decide to ban someone. Would love to hear your comments on that.

You complain about a secret cabal of posters a lot, like there is some kind of Swill conspiracy against you. I don't think there is a secret cabal conspiring against you. Nigel.

While we should exercise great caution in issuing bans, a minority imposing decisions on a larger population is more-or-less life. Few things are decided by a pure majority vote by the commoners. Also, 4-5 people banning a poster is better than a single mod pushing the ban button, so it sounds like it was actually something that was preceded by deliberation, which is always good.

To be fair, heat gave us all these buttons that are shiny and cool, and some of us pushed them just to see what would happen. (Not me but Travis and WBH). I think you got banned because of button pushing. Collateral damage of us figuring out what to do.
