What a coincidence my wife and I were just talking about this very virus at dinner last night.

Mosquitoes. They are here and carrying West Nile.

An acquaintance, Barton Deiters died in April 2021 from the effects of West Nile he contracted in Oct 2020 from a mosquito bite.

Just on a serious note: Exactly how many times to you need to be bitten for the transfer of a disease. If it's like a night out and you're bitten like four or five times, is that enough?

Anyone remember the Japanese beetle traps MI department of agriculture put out in the late 60s/early 70s?  My parents agreed to let them put one in our backyard.  Was there 2-3 years IIRC.  Not sure if anyone ever came out to check it but they eventually removed it.  Apparently there is still concern about the critters in Idaho

Let’s see… late sixties, early seventies… let’s say 1968-72… would’ve had me at ages 6-10. Nope, I don’t remember. Then again, I was probably too busy marching in protest, throwing pig’s blood at military recruiting stations, burning draft cards, trying to pick up smelly hippie chicks. Bitches said I wasn’t even in junior high, so they said no. But they sure smoked my grass, man.
