Sounds like there are enough players that haven't tested positive that they could play, but after there were positive tests on Wed, Fri, and Today, and it was felt that it is spreading among the team. Players could have tested negative today, and still be infected and contagious during the game.

If a school is doing that, don't fucking encourage it by showing it. And Byington's color commentator saying how much he'd like to be there when they're jumping all over each other, masks flying off, etc., with zero mention of the issues that poses. I know they want there to be buzz and excitement, but that is terrible of them to promote that.

The Draymond/Tatum commercial that they keep airing makes no sense at all. There are different versions of it and they keep combining the segments in ways that don't make sense. The original was Tatum saying something about how his sub scores points and Draymond cutting him off and saying his wins championships. That makes sense, and is mildly humorous. The others not so much.

Also I've watched two games and I'm not all that impressed with Cade Cunningham. Even if he makes all of these shots he's not that impressive to me. He has no elite skill set and he's not that athletic. Yet to be determined if his elite skill set is winning. If that proves out he is definitely #1 overall worthy.

That’s a great song by the Pet Shop Boys so I do like that commercial.

I agree Wags. That one has been airing for some time but it still gets a chuckle out of me. Best part is easily the dad.

While I'm ranting and critiquing commercials, I want to talk about the new Apple spots. I generally despise Apple ads. Always trying to tug at your heart strings with some weird backstory offset to music. But the new spots offer a contrast between a perfectly played commercial and a shitty one.

Behind door #1 we have the I've got the sauce commercial. This commercial is funny. It delivers the message about the product - our phone doesn't break. The song is super relevant. The physical comedy is great, in a Farley/Jack Black way. It just works.

Contrast that with door #2 and the woman walking down the street and fumbling and dropping her phone. Yes, we've all been there, but juggling that thing up in the air 600x like you're one of the fucking Smothers Brothers? Or whoever juggles? With a song that is not even a song so much as it is a guy stuttering? Not funny, song not relevant. Yes it delivers a message about the product but the way it gets there is way clumsy compared to the I got the sauce one.

I guess at least these are relevant to the product. There are so many commercials that have completely random scenarios totally unrelated to the product. Like we've got some teen angst in a laundromat and Flo embarrasses the girl by talking about her retainer. What the fuck does that have to do with insurance? Why is a hood ornament singing? What does that have to do with insurance? There are millions of others. Even the scoop there it is - insurance commercial. It's funny but what the fuck does it have to do with insurance? Some of these commercials leave a mark but no one recalls what product they were for because it's not relevant to the message in the commercials.

Who are the ad wizards that are coming up with these pieces of shit.

I agree. I was more impressed with Oregon State's Ethan Thompson than I was with Cunningham. Heck, Oklahoma State's Avery Anderson seemed like he was affecting the game as much or more than Cunningham was.

I don't know to be honest. I don't think there's a superstar candidate out there. Is Chet Holmgren eligible? One dark horse to keep an eye on. There is a PG out of the Denver area who has been getting a lot of pub.
