All of your questions are clearly an attempt to sidetrack the investigation. You are now suspect #1.

You're the weirdo who doesn't own a microwave. I can quickly heat up my own meals at home, you have to either wait for an oven to heat up, or... order from DoorDash? And you're "investigating" other posters, a great way to throw Pantry off your scent.Turtleneck wrote:Cameron wrote:

But seriously, do you have a stove top or not?

I don't use for delivery services. If the establishment has delivery, I might opt for delivery, but no third-party delivery services for me.

Isn't that a murder device?

You can grill a murder suspect on it and probably get a confession, but a judge might have a problem with it. The aclu will definitely have a problem with it.

GRR you being serious? You can't catch Covid from eating food. Or from surfaces for that matter.
And edit I think you've already had it?? And at least one vaccine?

Re: Online fraud
Had to get a new credit card last mo th and yesterday I needed to get my debit replaced. Last month I got an alert that 1 dollar of gas had been purchased at a station. I called and they told me yep, they’ll try for a small amount then go big. Yesterday my debit was charged by a securelycheck.com 28 dollars. It’s an international charge and when I looked them up they wanted my card number plus my last four of my social security to tell me what the charge was for.

I did have it. Ducked the respiratory complications but lost 17 lbs in 10 days andit screwed with my eyesight. (That's according to the opthomologist and my optometrist who referred me last month.
I am more concerned about the servers, hostesses and other diners I may come in contact with than the food. Still damned near run through Costco and Meijer and shop on days / times those places have low traffic. Other shopping is online.
At our house we treat COVID like a dog. Dog bits you once its the dog's fault. Bites you twice its your fault. I have little faith in the people who refuse to wear masks (or wear them improperly) I see way too often in West MI.

Cam, I like the DoorDash ad where the Cookie Monster orders a bunch of food and the other guy has to call their friends to help them eat it all.

Re: Online fraud
Noticed a charge of just under $100 to my debit account made yesterday. Called the bank and they had no idea who the merchant is...just a bunch of #'s and letters. Caught it in time to reverse the charge and they're sending me a new card. Was due for a new one soon anyway.DWags wrote:Had to get a new credit card last mo th and yesterday I needed to get my debit replaced. I didn’t have a microwave for a long time. Everything is better sans microwave. Not a single thing out there that can’t be made better by spending the extra 10 minutes…. But then I had a kid and I have now resumed owning a microwave because I only have 30 seconds before the kid tries to hurl himself out of a closed window or something else insane

I’ve only owned a microwave for the past three years. Still use it very little. Pizza reheated in a microwave isn’t great. Reheating it in the air fryer is much better and it only takes a few minutes.

Got the new card. Had them expedite it, which they did for free.
Got an email from the bank yesterday. Turns out the charge had been set up as reoccuring. Fuckers.

Re: Online fraud
My question is: Why would a bank/credit card company accept a charge from a merchant that is unidentifiable? With all the computer genuises they seem to have would think someone should have figured out a way to verify merchants by now and reject bogus charges automatically.

Re: Online fraud
For the super cautious you can just purchase "burner" debit cards and when it is used up get another one.
