I argued with my boss that there's really only 2 things that NFL teams shy away from. One is a player who is caught testing positive for PED's and the second is betting on the games. The caveat to each is that they need to be caught, the teams may suspect a player is doing something illegal, but they aren't going to go looking for it. Those 2 things are the only 2 things that really seem to affect the perception of fair play in the game. Everything else is just a distraction.

If Fantasy Football didn't exist, I'd probably never watch. I;m not a huge fan of going out Saturday to watch MSU and drinking and then getting up to go watch the Lions and doing it again. I grew up with a father who was never a big NFL guy, loved the Wings, loved the Tigers, loved MSU sports. He had Lions season tix when they were at Tiger Stadium but his stories seem to tell more of a story of it being a time to do tequila shots in the stands then enjoy the Lions.

So sports for me in ranking is:

1. NHL
2. College Hoops
3. College Football/MLB
4. Soccer/NFL
5. NBA (as a kid though in the 80s early 90s, NBA JUNKIE, weird.)

Isn't this more about the NFL's backward ass moral compass? America doesn't run the NFL. Seems like the majority of America would agree that Ray Rice deserves a longer suspension.

Ray Lewis was never suspended. Been fined on a few occasions ($250,000 for the incident in Atlanta), never suspended.
