So my friends moved all over the country, my local friends are all now divorced from my wife's coworkers (essentially gone)...
If a dude drinks a beer and is semi amusing and not a blatant jackass, I could deal with a jersey. Something to be said for not giving a fuck about what others think.

I actually have a Chelsea FC jersey (when Samsung was the sponsor) that I bought at Stamford Bridge. I wore it a few times but mainly during the run-up to the Champions League title in 2012.

Probably haven't worn it but maybe once since.

(It's a Frankie Lampard shirt).

I have a Charlie batch lions jersey I got when he was the quarterback for like 7 games when I was 13. Still fits (as of like 7 years ago the last time I saw it.)

Come to think about it I may not have that anymore.

I also have a Liverpool jersey that I sparsely wear. Tbh it’s kinda hard to find soccer merch that isn’t a jersey that isn’t lame. It does not have a name on it

depends on their personality/character.. i think some jerseys look swag. but i also cringe at the double/triple/quad/dwags bill, but that doesn't mean i won't have a beer with dwags

Soccer jerseys are basically just regular shirts anyway. Remove the team info and name/number and no one would think you're wearing a jersey. The same can't be said for football, hockey, or baseball jerseys.

I've never been one to wear jerseys on a regular day, just to games sometimes, which is a rare occasion. But in my closet, I have an MSU hockey jersey from 1991, a Red Wings Konstantinov jersey from 1996, and Man United jerseys from 1995 and 1997. They're all still in amazing shape since I hardly ever wear them. Maybe to a game if the Wings are in town or a couple of times that United have been in town.

i disagree trav, just takes some digging re: soccer gear. i've got a nice hat. thinking a nice crewneck that just says "TOTTENHAM" next. simplicity and subtle is the goal here, IMO.

so is there a different judgement if there is no name on the back of jerseys? does that make it better for those who scoff?

I dunno man I’ve got a cool light jacket thing but beyond that (and the jersey) most of the stuff I find just strikes me as way too busy

at last count I had 37 band/concert t-shirts.

not a big hoodie fan, though - they're a little bulky. I have a few, of course, but I don't wear them as a matter of being comfy. I have a couple of nice lined Wrangler flannel shirts - they have cozy, quilted lining. Those are my go-to for comfort.

Concert Ts have been trash the last handful of shows I've been to. Raconteurs had a cool one and I got it, but the sizing was jacked and the wife sleeps in it now. Most of the recent ones I own I got home and reconsidered wearing them.

I gotta make sure they're the right blend and fit. Between the concert shirt and trucker hat selection, I can almost always find what I'm looking for.
