In addition to the guys above, multiple field hockey players have signed up to be Barstool Athletes along with players from men's and women's soccer, softball, baseball, and hockey. Not sure what being a Barstool Athlete entails or what benefits it provides, but Barstool seems to be registering a lot of athletes from a big variety of sports. Also not sure how this will work given Barstool is partially owned by a gaming corporation and operates an online sportsbook of some kind.

Gabe Brown and Malik Hall are cashing in on the NCAA’s new name, image and likeness rules.

The two are the first Michigan State basketball players to get paid to make a personal appearance. Brown and Hall will sign autographs from 1-3 p.m. Saturday at Pro Sports Zone, 37644 West 6 Mile Road in Livonia. Cost is $20 per autograph, and another $8 for JSA authentication on-site.

After claiming the Big Ten Championship last season and coming in fourth at the NCAA Championships, the Spartan women will open the fall 2021 season as the top team in their region and No. 5 in the nation, the highest-ranked squad among Big Ten schools.

I'm only half joking about this. $50/month for a non-revenue sport player would be pretty cool. I'd be willing to put in at least $10/month. I doubt any of them would accept a deal with a place as seedy as this one though.

would be nice to see non-revenue sports get something. I suspect they might eventually. Maybe Playmakers (a local running store) doing something with/for the cross-country teams.. could see that happening. Even if it's just a clinic or a couple of coaching/training sessions, etc.

but, yeah, I doubt they want to attach their image to tSwill. I certainly wouldn't wish that on them.
