Prime Day Deals
Anyone looking for anything? Or know of good deals for a popular item?
Seems all the stores now are doing deals to compete.
I've bought all my roombas on prime day. I'm not one to really care and follow shit, but we actually need somethings.
I'm looking into wifi extenders (I wad recommend eero pro)
Bluetooth wireless speakers - no idea what to get. We don't have anything.
Projector/screen to do a movie outside. Also hence speakers to help with that.
If I have time, I will look into some gifts for kids for Christmas/birthdays.

According to my neighbors, yes. I'm looking into it for 2 reasons. Our sub has shitty cell coverage. I'm told it's because our neighborhood is right in between 2 towers. And I'm hybrid with work.
I was also looking to do outdoor movie nights. And I need to have a better/extended signal for the backyard.
One of my neighbors can get his full wifi signal at a neighbors backyard on a different street. He paid around $200 for his 3 boosters.
However, all based on what I'm told. I don't know jack shit about this stuff.

Re: Prime Day Deals
I’ve got an eero system. It’s great, except for with my iPhone. I’m pretty sure it’s an iPhone issue though as all of my other devices seem to work great and move from each wifi hub as needed without an issue. Sometimes my phone will be like “yes, the upstairs bedroom hub is the one I need to connect to” while I’m in the basement. I’m not really a tech guy here so I could be doing something wrong, but I have read about eeros and iPhones not loving each other.
I need a robot vacuum tho. I’ve got two huskies who shed constantly and it’s impossible to keep up with. Strongly considering pulling the trigger on this unless someone tells me not to in the next 15 minutes
https://a.co/d/hZ11V1S
Obligatory picture of one of the huskies looking like he’s very high. (He’s not, he’s just weird.)

Good thing I don't have an iPhone (except as my work phone).
I have a roomba on each level. The first one we ever bought has died. I'm planning on getting this one, because it says how well it works on hard floors with pet hair. Others are just as good on carpet, which is what our upstairs and basement is.

Re: Prime Day Deals
Even the iPhone is manageable enough- if it connects to the wrong eero I just use the app to restart that eero and force my phone to grab a different one. It’s mildly annoying, but since it works well with everything else in the house I imagine you wouldn’t have an issue like that.

Yes. But when say yes, I.mean the mesh systems like Orbi. Never tried a generic extender.

Thankfully, it’s vegan. And I noticed they include the options to pump and pour. Coincidentally, pump and pour is one of my signature sex moves.

Dendro and Travis-
Have you noticed your robot vacuums scratching your wood floors? I want to get one because our dog sheds like crazy, but Mrs. GW says she’s heard the floors get scratched. So far, I haven’t been able to convince her to give it a go.

Our first floor is all the luxury vinyl plank. It has not scratched that. Our old house we had that cheap laminate fake pergo looking wood floors. It didn't scratch them either.
I have not heard them scratching wood floors.

Bob would recommend the Jabouti X-5000 with their proprietary independently-balanced carbon-mesh fiber system and cast forged titanium body in a honey oak finish.
As for my recommendation: I don’t know.

I'm not an apple fan, so not everyone has those.
My neighbor has the eero pro. And that's what I ordered.

Official review- pass
The robot vacuum has done a great job with the pet hair, which was ample as those dogs like to drop tufts of hair where ever they damn well please. The robot is quiet enough that if I start it after the kid and wife go to bed they remain unbothered by it upstairs.
I did enjoy this morning though, more than I probably should have. I had a notification that cleaning was complete around 1 am, but another that it couldn’t find the docking station. That’s happened before, so that’s fine. I was very amused to find out that the fucker had accidentally locked itself in the bathroom, at which point it was like “all right I’m trapped. cleaning is done for today” even though I don’t think the cycle was actually done yet.

I want to get an ipad/new tablet for my daughter. I'm not sure if I should stick to apple product or go with someone else. We've hated her fire tablet.

I have both. I will say my iPad is my go to. I’d say the android is more open to fully functional apps. But I will say I’m on my second ipad and still have the original android tablet. First ipad took a dump after about about a year and a half.

I have a company ipad and iPhone for work. My personal phone is an android. I like my android better.
But I am leaning towards an iPad for my daughter (bday present). I'm just pissing and moaning about the prices. I want it to last a long time, and I'm assuming she will want some games further down the line. I think 64 gb would be good enough. My price expectations are probably too high.
