Does anyone here really like Biden?

He will always hold a special place in my heart for not fucking up the 2020 election, but I didn't care much for him during the campaign and still don't.

What Elizabeth Warren said of John Delaney during the Democratic debates also applies to Biden: “I don’t understand why anybody goes to all the trouble of running for president of the United States just to talk about what we really can’t do and shouldn’t fight for."

Yes, Biden is better than Trump. He's not going to take a moment during a pandemic to brag about his press conference ratings or his Facebook followers, he's not going to make fun of reporters for wearing masks, and he's not going to suggest injecting disinfectants. But all in all, he's a mediocre president who has no real direction for the country. We settled for him because we needed Trump to go away.

I thought at the time he had the best chance to beat Trump and I stll feel that way.

What I like -

He beat Trump

Got the first woman VP (long over due)

Childhood tax credit which should reduce childhood poverty by 50%

Ended the Afghanistan war

Stimulus checks

Had a rock solid plan to end the pandemic with the vaccine program just couldn't get cooperation and had headwind from Fox news/Right Wing media and the GOP.

I think he has plenty of direction. He also has a nice set of handcuffs in Manchin and Sinema.

Yeah the political divide within the party pretty much sterilizes him. But I knew what I was getting with him and I'm ok with it.

Before the elections he wasn't my first choice, but she is Veep so thats okay.

Since the election he has been a huge positive surprise.

I was not a reluctant Biden voter, as the Republican Party is evil, evil, evil, but I didn't expect him to be as progressive as he has turned out to be.

I didn't vote for Biden but given how he has united Americans just as he promised I now feel he is one of our greatest presidents. In fact I have been so inspired by the transparency of his administration that I am actually bidding on an amazing painting by his talented son Hunter. I have added a provision to my will and trust that the painting will be donated to either the DIA or China upon my death.

Promised he’d unite people? I don’t think so. What he won’t do is divide people with a purpose like the last administration. No president has ever United democrats and republicans. No way Biden would ever unite democrats, republicans and the Trump morons.

If I’m ever “United” with any Trump supporter in any way, I’ve failed as a human being. There is not one quality of character or personality trait or belief system or feelings about women, minorities, the LGBTQ community or the belief in science I ’d ever want to be considered United with.

You're still thinking about Hunter Biden? My favorite part of the 2020 campaign was when you MAGAs went nuts over the Hunter Biden laptop story. When I read that the only eyewitness was a blind guy (more like an earwitness, amirite?), I knew it wasn't the October Surprise you guys were hoping for, but you all were sure it was going to destroy Joe. That story was even funnier than the debates.

I'm okay with him. At least it feels like there's some direction now and a clear message re: coronavirus and the president isn't making headlines with bizarre tweets at 2 am. I'd still prefer some candidates that weren't in their 70s though.

I'm with you there, however wisdom really does grow with age.

I'm not seeing any 50 year old politicians who are anywhere as good as Biden or as smart as Warren.
