Death wish thread. Empty Death wish thread.

Post by DWags 2022-02-04, 13:08

I was thinking of putting this in the photos or videos that make you laugh etc, but this is beyond asinine.

Let’s start a deaf wish thread.

About seven years ago on lake Saint Clair just outside of my house, two guys had to be rescued on the ice that were ice fishing. It was early March and the weather was fairly warm. I thought OK that’s almost forgivable. However one week later the same two guys had to be rescued. I hope they were charged everything that it cost to save them. I don’t know this guys story but come on buddy.

I spend quite a bit of time on frozen lakes this time of year, but mostly small, shallow ones. Lake Ovid, Lake Lansing, etc. Even then, I make sure there are a lot of people who know a lot more about it than I do are out there first.

No way I'd get on a big body of water like Lake Michigan.

I wish all deaf people could hear, if they want to.

Yeah, I remember reading your post. If you were able to have hearing restored, would you?

That was me, talking into my phone, as I’m trying to use my voice for posting more often. I’m actually doing it right now, my problem is I need to proofread before I send.

I don't want to derail DWAGs' awesome thread just because his voice assistant can't hear any better than I can.

Answer is yes. Mostly I just joke about it. I am not deaf, but I do have quite severe hearing loss. Life goes on. It would be a lot better though if Turtleneck would quit mumbling.

Turtleneck has been coached up to address his mumbling on several previous occasions. He’s just lazy and hates enunciating.

I was honestly expecting to find out that the guy was deaf and couldn't hear the warnings to get off the ice or hear the rescuers calling to him.
