Every once in a while you get leaders on a team that like the surrounding life style of college more then the sport they came for. I’m not judging that at all and it’s just a hunch. These kids owe us nothing. But if I had to take a wild guess as to why this team seems out of sorts, it’s lack of senior leadership.

But I’ve seen sicker dogs get better.

Agree. The program is t broke because you hit a valley. People bury Izzo after every mediocre year. I’m guessing they’ll do it till he’s retired. The best part of this board is it won’t get ginned up to be the RCMB. We can oline without being idiots.

If you think Cash's senior year validates that statistic, that's your prerogative. Personally, I believe that team was done losing, and I'm willing to give Izzo at least partial credit for that.

Part of it is no doubt due to Izzo being at MSU roughly twice as long as Dantonio. Different sports certainly plays a part, too. Harder to turn a football team around on a dime, especially for someone as set in his ways as Dantonio was, but you can do it with one or two dudes in basketball.
