The US government has a long history of telling native tribes one thing in treaties then changing its mind.

How much do I have to gamble at one of their casinos to get an abortion comp? Is it transferable?

Well, it without a treaty, it would be the equivalent of the federal govt telling Canada what they can do... the treaty has to be approved by both parties and voted by the senate like a bill... it would be difficult for me to think Oklahoma can do shit about it.

From what I read they were not interestedin becoming a flash point.

Native American land is sovereign. They can govern themselves without interference from the State.
