I just got two tickets on Stubhub for the Saturday afternoon game in Philly. $100 each plus fees. I got lucky because everything else was at least twice that much where we’re sitting, right behind home plate in the upper deck. I’ll wave.

It was a great game from a Phillies perspective. The crowd was rocking all nine innings. The noise during the inside the park HR was one of the loudest I’ve heard at a baseball game. Yep, I lost 47 bucks on them. That’s always my play during the playoffs when a superior team is one game away from elimination with more than one game left to play. It’s usually successful, but I’m an idiot

Phillies are going to the World Series. Dave Dombrowski is the GM. He won in Boston, too. Why on earth did Ilitch fire him?

I just read that this will be the first World Series since 1950 without any African Americans on either roster. That’s shocking to me. MLB really needs to get blacks back into baseball. They have supported training facilities in Hispanic countries. It’s time to do the same here.

Tell me about it. They are demanding the AAA team of the Phillies make $10 million in improvements to their stadium with no assistance from MLB. The park is only about 15 years old and beautiful.

this game has been pretty good. astros went up 5-0, phillies tied it up eventually. phillies hit a HR first batter of extras. now astros got a guy on 2nd with 1 out.
