Umaa was down by ~27pts with only seconds left on the clock and their players were pressing, double- and triple-teaming, and going for steals. Then as the game ended words were exchanged and both sides fronted for a moment. No idea if there was any player pushing or shoving because the cam was on Juwan and Bobby Hurley. As I mentioned in the other thread, Howard saw it and aside from mouthing a couple of words out of what seemed like exasperation, he did nothing to stop his players, not even to bark at them to knock it off. I get emotions run high after a competition, but it’s just another situation where if it were us, we’d get dinged, but because it’s umaa, nothing will be said. The hypocrisy is tiresome.

I get that the coaches want their teams to compete until the whistle but acting like you have anything to play for when 27 points down, or for that matter up 29 to 7 in a football game is stupid.

Keep playing, sure, but all out fuckery, that shit is dumb.
