It’s good to get a huge win with subpar guard play through regulation. Walker and Hoggard were definitely not playing up to standards tonight.

Houser played like the guy Izzo kept talking about and as a group they are just damned tough. No doubt Kentucky watched the Gonzaga game and at least the players thought their length and quickness would wear out MSU. Thought the Kentucky players looked like boxers unable to understand an opponent wouldn’t realize they were supposed to wilt.

Akins and Brooks didn't provide much, either. And they will both be important this season. So this wasn't the ceiling. It's always fun to watch a team do great things while most fans are waiting for next year's big recruits to take over.
