this is why I said in the other thread that the patriotic GOP narrowly winning the House isn't a big deal and might actually even help the Democrats in 2024.

let the GOP majority (by 1-2 seats) whine about non-existent threats to the American way of life like Hunter Biden, The Caravan, CRT, etc., as the Democrat majority Senate and White House work to solve problems like inflation, access to affordable healthcare, foreign policy, sensible gun control, reproductive freedom, etc..

then remind Americans in 2024 who's looking out for the average folks.

Agree that endless investigations will help the Dems. They ran on a platform of lowering inflation and gas prices and border security. If they spend the next two years investigating everything it gives the Dems the advantage in 2024.

I'm really really really glad we got rid of gerrymandering when we did.  It may have been difficult for republicans to kill our citizen ballot abilities but something tells me they would have found a way to do it in the next ten years, which would have cemented republicans in place similarly to wisconsin.

We should be supporting democrats in wisconsin. They need some serious help. That state leans R a little more than we do but it's still a purple state.

Not happening in Wisconsin or other Red controlled States unless they have citizen ballot abilities or the Democratics gain control of the US House and Senate where they can kill the filibuster on this and pass a Voting Rights Act.  Looking at the next election it is very possible that the Democratics gain the House but lose the Senate., so not hopeful at all.

And that doesn't count what the Supreme Court does with another crackpot theory in the Legislatures controlling the vote case.

However, with a majority of 4, right now one is out on medical for a few weeks, and another is dangerously close to being indicted for fraud.

Anything that gets done in the House will be with "left wing" Republicans voting with the Democratic members.
