The Pregame Must-Win Penn State thread

Penn State -3.5

They haven't really played anyone yet. Not a big team.

Penn State has made 32 more 3s than us (in one less game) at a 40% clip.

They have 3 guys shooting 45%+ on 3s.

Will Hoggard start? Can Mady give us some offense? Can we close out on their guys getting wide open shots?

I guess the positive thing is that Izzo has had a week to drill down on defending against the 3.

My guess is Izzo gave Akins a lot of minutes last game because he knows he's going to need him playing well. If we see Aikens playing to the level he played at pre-injury I think that opens up opportunities for the team and I like our chances.

Walker was in foul trouble also. But, I think we'll see Akins get a ton of minutes in small ball lineups. He can be a scorer (shooting 3s and driving), and we need that.

Agreed. He went 1-6 for 3pts vs NW. if he can shake off the rust I think it will help a lot.
