Maaaannn... PET PEEVE right there. Bought one a couple years ago, the first year wasn't a great pull start. Subsequent years requires the starting fluid. I actually replaced the carb, did all of the maintenance stuff... and still bad. Must be a compression leak or something (?) but I'd just rather leave it to the local junk picker guy and buy new.

I had to buy a new mower toward the end of last summer. When I brought it out this spring, no lie, the sumbitch started on the first pull.

My electric mower is working just fine after six or seven years. I just make sure it's charged, push the button and go.

My sister & BIL bought a new house and a new electric mower.  They love it.

I'm thinking of electric, however, with 5 acres to mow it is pretty pricy right now. and the gas ZTM is running okay.

From what I've seen 2 acres is about the max on electric riders. But you could always dump another couple thousand into batteries.

I'm not real smart, but what's the point of offering up your yard as the Earth's salad bar for one month? What happens when you cut it down in June?
