Anyway I really tried not to call it a “master bedroom” when I was house hunting that did feel kinda wrong I just called it primary. I don’t think anyone else really cared or noticed and I didn’t really care when the realtor called it a master. It was definitely the kind of thing that was worth publishing on my news website.

Remember, when the “right” claims the left is outraged, they’re the ones getting outraged by drag queens reading books to kids.

Maaaannn... PET PEEVE right there. Bought one a couple years ago, the first year wasn't a great pull start. Subsequent years requires the starting fluid. I actually replaced the carb, did all of the maintenance stuff... and still bad. Must be a compression leak or something (?) but I'd just rather leave it to the local junk picker guy and buy new.

I had to buy a new mower toward the end of last summer. When I brought it out this spring, no lie, the sumbitch started on the first pull.AvgMSUJoe wrote:Robert J Sakimano wrote: I'm waiting on someone from the right to tell me what else I'm outraged by.

I bought my son a Toro (oddly a US company) as a housewarming gift, their advertised claim to fame is one pull starting, well among other high-end claims. True for year one. I'll have to ask him if true for year two.

My electric mower is working just fine after six or seven years. I just make sure it's charged, push the button and go.

Tried to talk the son into electric, but he is with you on this...
My sister & BIL bought a new house and a new electric mower. They love it.
I'm thinking of electric, however, with 5 acres to mow it is pretty pricy right now. and the gas ZTM is running okay.

From what I've seen 2 acres is about the max on electric riders. But you could always dump another couple thousand into batteries.

The technology is right around the corner. If you read industry articles, they can mow 100 acres in like 3 minutes. Electric mowers are here whether you like it or not!

I've seen some do-gooders in my neighborhood with "No Mow May" signs in their yards. As such, their lawns look like they'll need a combine to cut down the thicket come June.

Encourages people not to mow their lawns in an effort to allow early growth and pollination that is negatively impacted by grass cutting. Fucking libs...

Short grass is the result of using push reel mowers, where long grass is hard to cut and the banning of sheep in the suburbs.

I'm not real smart, but what's the point of offering up your yard as the Earth's salad bar for one month? What happens when you cut it down in June?
seems like it would make more sense to install dense vegetation in the form of perennials and keep them well-groomed, manicured, watered, allowing them to flourish and, thereby, creating a natural, more permanent habitat for the insects and pollinators, versus just putting a sign in your yard to proclaim a love for Mother Nature, only to remove the temporary housing after a month.

I suspect some of these lazy-ass folks are trying to find a reason to extend "No Mow May" into June, July and August, as well.
City of East Lansing has suspended their ordinance in support of regular lawn maintenance for the month of May. Them bastards better get to issuing tickets on June 1st or I'm gonna fucking riot at city hall.

Like the idea of planned planting. Flowering shrubs would be the way to go.
The idea of doing this in May is that is when pollination critters peak, I guess, and thus creating more stuff to pollinate expands their population.
Having a SO who is allergic to bees not into it myself and what my neighbors due, since homes out in the farms are generally at least a quarter mile apart, is sort of meaningless. (Well my closest neighbor looks like it will be a bean field to the west and a wheat field to the east this year.)
