I thought we would be getting that back with Biden. How on earth is it taking so long?

This is an extremely important concept that everyone seems to have forgotten. Without it, the people's internet will be eroded away and turned into and geared towards simply a marketing platform for corporations.

A few months ago the FCC board was split 3 - 3 and the person Biden had nominated for chairperson hadn't been approved by the Senate. Not sure where this is with the new Senate but if the exfootball coach is able to hold up all the military promotions then some dumbass Republican can probably hold this up, too.

The Federal Communications Commission announced Wednesday that it will finally be voting on whether to restore net neutrality protections that were repealed under the Trump administration.

The move would once again allow the FCC to, among other things, prevent internet service providers from throttling, blocking, or creating paid prioritization models for internet access and speeds.

NEW YORK (AP) — Much like nutritional labels on food products, “broadband labels” for internet packages will soon tell you just what is going into the pricing of your service, thanks to new rules adopted by the Federal Communications Commission this week.

Wow, i completely missed this.  Thank you for being on top of that.  Why isn't this (big) news?

And will Scotus allow it?  They seem to be totally for curtailing power of the agencies in favor of corporate power.
