Re: Let’s pool our money
Bump. We take our winnings and go to an early basketball game and rent out a room at Reno's east.
$1000 gets us 555
$1500 gets us $833
$2000 grand gets us $1100
back room, food and an uber. Prolly some shots too.
Lets gooooooooooooooo!
Unless you guys think we should be the under.

I always say Reno''s East is where you go to find your 3rd wife after your 2nd wife that you met at Jimmy's Pub leaves you.tGreenWay wrote:Biggest gamble you’d be making is eating at Reno’s.

I'd say the MAC or Whole Foods would be a better place for a 2nd (or 3rd) wife.

The people at Whole Foods freak me out. I'm there at least once a week and it's always a Museum of Human Oddities.
Of course, I suspect they think the same of me.

I’ve never seen anything but normal looking peeps at WF. Okay, there was this one time a few weeks ago when this dude with full neck and face tattoos was checking out, but he was with a couple of older folks who seemed very nice and sweet, so he didn’t go in my freak file.

It seems like most of the people that go there dress like they hiked there via the Pacific Coast Trail ...or kayaked their way up Grand River.
Maybe spelunked. Some look like they spelunked their way there.
Of course, they didnt.. they just give the illusion of it.

Don't tell me this board isn't full of ADD posters. And I'm not making fun of ADD, I'm making an observation.
Lets start out a possible gambling thread:
Lets make it a bar critic thread
Lets talk about divorce and meeting wives
Move on to Whole foods and freaks who shop there.
12 posts/ four or five topics including this one.

What do you want DWags, I said I was in?! Jesus, I don’t need this shit. I just got back from a bike ride and my wife didn’t make dinner so we have to deal with that right now. And my daughter lost a shoe at school today. Like, WTF? How does a 13 year old lose a shoe?

When I used to work in EL we went to Jimmy's when it was by Frandor... was wondering if it was still decent being in the middle of the apartment hellscape north of Lake Lansing.duffy munn wrote:Robert J Sakimano wrote: I always say Reno''s East is where you go to find your 3rd wife after your 2nd wife that you met at Jimmy's Pub leaves you.

I am in as long as the winnings goes to something useful, like Ukraine refugees, and not to destroying livers and stomachs at Reno's.

This is a great idea. And, it’s not crazy money then. We can make it a $10-$20 Biane, we all believe the Spartans are going to win more than 4 1/2, and we are I believe on the side of righteousness. If you want to do something like that, PM me. I will place a bet for as many who want in the pool, and I will send the winnings next fall to Heat. I’m pretty sure he would know exactly what to do with the money.
I like that, gambling for humanity. Debauchery for righteousness.
I’m willing.

Back in the 1950's when I lived there, yes. On the south side of Sleight Road. I think they came over from DeWitt, and then went over to Westphalia. Kids used to put pennies on them to have the trains flatten them. I recall even seeing a steam locomotive on them once.
Found an old, 1860's map showing the RR. It didn't go exactly where I remembered.
