I don’t think I’ve been this bad in decades. Holy shit. Celebrated the youngest’s first job offer. We were on the west side. We went up to GR and had a dinner. We had a room at the residence inn. Stopped at the piano bar. I don’t remember leaving. I also have Uber eats on my phone fo 35 bucks and I don’t see any form of food in the room. I think I drank too much last night. Way too much. Happy Father’s Day.

Wags I saw a thing on facebook where a guy was drugged at a piano bar in GR. Dude was pretty much paralyzed and had zero memory of his whole night. Hopefully you just got drinky and not roofied.

Saw a daddy skunk crossing the road along with his child in front of me this morning. I was going to stop and wish it a happy father's day then decided that since I really didn't know if it was the mommy or daddy it might not be a good idea.

Today is Father’s Day—my 51st Father’s Day as a son, my nineteenth as a father, but my first since my father died. I’m not a big fan of these Hallmark holidays. I don’t think my dad was, either. Father’s Day, coming as it does a month after Mother’s Day, always smacked of a sequel that wasn’t quite as good as the original, a hasty enterprise designed to further cash in on a potentially lucrative franchise, the Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom of calendar observations. Furthermore, I’m not sure the literal patriarchy needs yet another feast day. With that said, screw it, I’m a dad, bring me a Rolling Rock and let the cornhole games begin!

On the other hand I think we need significantly more holidays and the import of those days, or who makes money off of it, is inconsequential to me when compared to letting people have more days off to celebrate and be happy instead of toiling away in the capitalist machine being miserable
