Offensive offenses: Iowa pregame thread

Did the MSU defense make changes in the late 2nd quarter? They look better from around then to the end of the game, but the offense remained dreadful. Iowa's offense looked like a typical Brian Ferentz offense last week, but unless MSU makes major changes and improvement, they will look like those Kurt Warner Rams teams this week.

Cade McNamara is the starter. He is only completing 51% of his passes and averages just 5.5 yards per completion. He has thrown 4 touchdowns to 3 interceptions. It looks like it is RB by committee. The player with the most carries, 34, is only averaging 2.7 yards per carry. Two other backs, with 25 and 21 carries respectively, are averaging 7 and 5 yards per carry. The defense looked good until last week, but the offense left the Iowa defense in some tough spots. The fact that we are not confident the MSU defense can, well, outplay the Iowa offense, says a lot about there the MSU program is.

No reason our defense can't hold Iowa to 17 points.

On offense, just give it to Carter 30 times and for the other 30 plays do anything but risk a turnover.
