He’s spot on. But here’s the deal, athletes wanted this freedom, and now they have it. What they do with it can help them or hurt them. They get the choice. You hope the adults in their life have their best interests in mind. Unfortunately we know otherwise

I know I’m old and grumpy and yelling at clouds. I also have nothing against so-called progress. But for old grumpy guys like me, it’s just another straw on the back of the camel that’s walking me away from college football.

Maybe the end game is to get Peacock on other providers (like YouTubeTV).

It's crazy though. We have so many streaming channels that I honestly don't know what we don't have.

The worst is when you get a new Roku and have to remember all of your passwords so you can log back into 50 different apps again.

One of my fondest memories is spending New Years Day at my late father’s house with a baked ham, home made rolls, some desserts and beer.

We'd set up to watch the Cotton Bowl, Rose Bowl and wrap it up with the Orange Bowl. That got expanded to the Cotton Bowl, Sugar Bowl, Rose Bowl, Orange Bowl and Fiesta Bowl that required an 2nd TV.

The FBS made a deal with ESPN so almost everything is on game per day.

But back in the day, as Dwags can attest, coaching salaries for assistants were a pittance and HC's often were making more from local and statewide endorsement deals than their university salary.
