Apparently, We're Now Carrying Out Airstrikes Over Yemen..

Something to do with all the attacks on shipping, I would think.  The (not) war in the middle east is heating up as we try to keep a lid on it.

It is on one side of the narrow straight leading out of the Red Sea, I think it is the Red Sea, maybe not, but a big bunch of shipping, including oil, goes through it. They have been attacking shipping, supposedly in support of Hamas.

You wonder if these guys forget how bad it could be if a super power gets involved... like the Houthis (and probably hamas too) guys are like a bunch of >21 years olds thinking they are ruling the world when they do this once or twice. Then in true FAFO fashion their entire world gets blown to smithereens. Then it takes them a decade or so to forget how bad it could be, so they try it again.

There was a video of the aircraft launching off the carrier and one of the comments was “They’re launching the FAFO package”.

The strikes came after the Iran-backed Houthi militia launched 27 attacks on vessels in the Red Sea, including merchant shipping vessels that carry about 12% of the world’s oil, 8% of its grain, and 8% of liquefied natural gas, as well as other commodities.

Reports are these strikes killed 5 people...that is how you do it Israel.

Not finding many libs who support what Israel is doing, and definitely not finding many libs in favor of having a war.

More real politic going on.  Needing to keep sea lanes open and supporting Israel's right to protect its people, though their leaders have their heads up their asses..

Killing Houthi fighters along with blowing up their installations and sinking their watercraft is part of an ersatz war with Iran.
