I loved John Candy. He did well with some scripts that were pretty damn thin. A lot of those "OK" movies would have bombed without him.

Anybody who thinks John Candy was less than a genius never watched SCTV, where he actually did his best work.

Not a fan, and I've never understood how John Goodman was able to have a career beyond Rosanne.

I like him more the older I get.

If forced to pick a living #1 I gotta go with Chappelle.

Farley worked too hard for laughs...never seemed naturally funny to me. Almost like the anti-John Belushi Same with Ferrell

I might put Farley #1 all time. Candy maybe top 10

John Candy was good. Planes, Trains, and Automobiles was a genius pairing of him and Steve Martin. The Great Outdoors was good too.
