RCMB vs Swill Fantasy Football

Trying to gauge interest in an RCMB vs Swill fantasy football league. How I'm thinking it will work is two 6 team divisions, one representing RCMB and one representing Swill. PM me if you'd like to join and I'll take the first 6 respondents from here and the first 6 from over there and we'll see if we can make this work. Finally a way to establish message board domination on the (fantasy) football field!

I'm fucking terrible at fantasy football. This will be my fifth year in a 10 team league, where 6 teams make the playoffs, and I've never made the playoffs.

I would also support the previous suggestion about a weekly pick em. Each board picks the full slate of games against the spread, and it's a running total over the course of the entire season.

Winning board gets to split one of griff's famous sandwiches.

I think the thought was that each board would submit one set of picks each week. Because if it's just open to board members, the number participating wouldn't be the same and you'd have to figure out how to score it and shit like that. We could basically just post one thread with the games and spreads each week, then each board figures out their picks and submits them. Arguing amongst ourselves would be the fun part. Winning would be the funner part.

Your group could work, so long as one representative from each board submits the picks each week. If that was what your plan was all along, well, then never mind.

Christ, I can't imagine the work behind getting a consensus on either board. Fucking Otto von Bismarck himself wouldn't be able to do that.

Well, set up some goddamn polls then. If it's a huge issue, we could just pick the 10 marquee games each week, vote on those, and then majority rules on the pick. One week we pick the 10, the next week they pick the 10.

Of course, it would be much easier for this board to come to a consensus, because the other board doesn't have polls, right?

And, since no one really knows the outcome of any particular game ATS, no one would know if they would be sabotaging us or themselves.

I think we could make a gentleman's agreement to not **** with each others polls. Otherwise, people would need to vote in thread and someone would have to tally them.

10 college games against the spread (yahoo sports)

Each board makes the picks however they want (polls, certain people choose, etc), picks must be posted prior to kickoff of first game

10 games chosen varies each week - tSwill picks the games being included week 1, tRCMB picks the games week 2, etc

Running total of games chosen correctly throughout the season

Winner gets something.

First week games to choose (in my opinion):

Texas A&M v. S. Carolina
Colorado v. Colorado St
UCLA v. Virginia
WVU v. Alabama
Georgia v. Clemson
Florida St. Okie St.
Wisconsin v. LSU
Miami v. Louisville
Auburn v. Arkansas
MSU v. Jacksonville St

I was out of town this weekend, and I'm pretty much the big picture guy. I leave it to the board and the worker bees to iron out the kinks and get it up and running. Someone who frequents both boards care to venture over and do a temperature check to see if they're interested? This would be the ultimate test of sports knowledge.

Not even sure this is going to fly. I've only got two signed up so far from over here (vs 3 from RCMB). Definitely a lukewarm reception so far; maybe I should spice things up by offering some Applebee's gift certificates for the winner.
