Fantasy Football 2021

Draft started Friday  Commissioner switched things up this season.  Got rid of the kicker and added a 2nd QB position.

With the #1 pick I took Mahomes.  As slowly as the draft is progressing this might take over a week.

How many teams and you guys have the funky scoring if I remember right

10 teams and scoring is different from standard leagues.  The draft is cool.  Like it much better than being on the clock. You text when the next manager is up to pick.

I have the #3 this year, .5 ppr superflex. #1 guy has said he is taking CMC, so I'm either gonna pick Mahomes or Dalvin Cook. I'm hoping Mahomes, I don't wanna have to root for a fucking Viking.

A draft by text that takes a week.

This draft method is way better than online. Plenty of time to research. Uses a google docs spreadsheet. The only texting is to let the next guy know he's up.

QB,QB,WR,WR,WR,RB,RB,TE,DEF. 4 bench positions plus one IR

Derrick Henry seems kinda indestructible. Regarding Dalvin Cook, he has never played all 16 games, so I would say he is riskier than average.

Of course, but some RB's have a sixth sense and mostly avoid injury. With all the crazy moves Barry Sanders displayed he was only out 7 games of his 10 year career. Another reason he's the GOAT.

I had Mahomes and Cook last year that was nice until the championship week when Kamara scored 71 tds in the first half alone

Draft done in less than a week.  May have overthought the new 2 QB setting, taking 2 of the top 6 in the first 3 rounds.  Hope they stay healthy and can get me past lack of a true RB1.  With scoring settings in the league, it might be possible.

Took a few flyers at rookies in the later rounds.  Hope one or more prove out.  

btw...you can't have more than 2 QBs rostered unless one is on IR or a bye week.  Reviewing my draft, gonna have to manage my ass off to get to the playoffs.

I do think it will be interesting going forward as everyone's bench is terrible. There's no one to really pick up. I won this game, but I'm not confident in my players.

14 teams is a lot. Did anyone stash Michael Thomas on IR? Pick up Latavious Murray?

The guy i just beat had Thomas on IR.
Someone else has Lat Murray. Once I saw all the BAL injuries, I moved Tyson Murray from my bench to flex. Damn good decision. I also have Lamar Jackson as my QB. So I don't want to pick up any more of those players. I really try to pay attn to my bye weeks/# of players on the same team.

What do you use for scoring? Those numbers are very different than what I'm used to. We use espn fantasy but I also know you can change things to be worth more points as well.

Lost last weekend 277.53-272.3. Lost this past weekend 330.6-327.85. Less than 8 point differential over 2 weekends is the difference between being 1-3 and 3-1. You folks playing in standard scoring leagues could not know the pain.
