Seems like a mistake on UCFs part to not melt a little more time off the clock on that last drive. 1st and 6 and you leave 1minute on the clock.

So what have we learned so far after wk1?

I have to say going off of Connor Cook's stat line I think MSU has an improved offense this year. I heard Couch say that the opponent we faced was about on par with a WMU that we faced last year and we saw how MSU did against them last year. Sounds like our D is still good.

For Ohio State I'd say we learned they are definitely down after losing Miller. They have a weak schedule, how will they navigate through it?

For Michigan, I can't say I learned much. App State looked awful, and I feel like today's match was on par with the CMU game last year where Michigan took care of business but we didn't learn much about them at that point. Funchess looks great, Gardner was throwing some arm punts, and Michigan looks like they want to run the ball more.

I'd say the rest of the B10 looks like a flaming pile of dog crap to me.

Penn State has a good QB, and the pulled a win out of their ass against a bad opponent.

Looking forward to seeing what Wisconsin has.

I think Wake Forest, Vanderbilt, Colorado & Iowa State wouldn't mind having a flaming pike of dog crap.

All I care about is MSU.

Wisconsin looks pretty solid. They should win this one.

Wiscy's smaller and quicker defense isn't going to be successful against downhill running attacks. Seems like Anderson's not been paying attention to B1G football for the last 40 years.

I can't think of a program more damaging to the B1G's reputation than Wisconsin. They just crap themselves in big out-of-conference games.

Really enjoyed that collapse, though. They are going to be so screwed next year when Gordon is gone.

So NW got beat by Cal. Probably the best quality win for the conference was against UCF.

I don't know if Wiscy blew it or if LSU just woke up. Wiscy looked good in the 1st half and on the first series of the 2nd half, but then that successful fake punt by LSU just seemed to turn things around and LSU dominated the rest of the game. I think if the woke up version of LSU was there the whole game, Wiscy would have been dominated. On a side note, I thought Wiscy's QB (can't remember his name) looked like crap once LSU got on a roll.

Ohio State looked like crap on both O and D. I thought Urban Meyer looked like he was ready to spend more time with his family during that debacle.

Nebraska looked good. Did what they were supposed to do. Not much else to say there.

scUM looked OK considering the competition. They kept the starters in during the 3rd quarter after it was already 35-0, so I thought that was a douche move on Hoke's part.

Didn't see any other BIG teams play, but did catch much of the Alabama - West Virginia game. Alabama didn't really look dominant, certainly not worthy of a #2 ranking. Also caught a few series of Florida State - Okie State. Didn't think the FSU O looked all that great, but their D was pretty damn good while I was watching. Since the score turned out 37-31 Okie State must have made some adjustments. Wish I had watched more of that game.

The loss of Herring and Zagzebski on the D line was the start of the end for us. That was already a brand new front seven so having to go to the bench for two of the three positions was killer. Add in the fact that apparently Gordon was injured, and only had 3 carries in the second half, and it left the door open enough .That being said, we were up 11 going into the fourth quarter and couldn't hold on. McEvoy not being able to hit a bull in the ass with a handful of peas lead to quick 3 and outs (Stave is also injured and out indefinitely now)...so yeah, that was a pretty bad meltdown. We were kicking their asses up and down the field for the better part of 3 quarters. If nothing else, I would think that LSU fans should have gotten a reality check about their own potential (ie they're not as good as they think they are).

I came home from the bar pissed drunk and eating red hot ranch at about 1 a.m., and couldn't get into my condo because the lock was broken. So I finished my meal. called a locksmith and laid down in the hallway. Guy comes, somehow gets in, and I need to sign for my charges ($205...damn). His paperwork is in the car, so we head down so I can sign, While we're outside, a cop does that thing where he doesn't want to wait for a light, so he puts his sirens on and goes through. Well, a cab sees him do that, slams on his breaks, and a motorcycle behind him can't stop. The guy is basically laying his bike down as he smokes the cabs back bumper. He wasn't wearing a helmet and looked drunk. Or he had a closed head injury. The cop simply that had his sirens on to go through the light simply turned and stopped. So it was obvious that he wasn't responding to anything.

Weird night. Will's was fun and rowdy though. Some solid talent there.
