When you nominate a play, you must nominate a cut off time for putting that bet in. We will put the bet in if a simple majority OF THOSE WHO HAVE VOTED have voted 'yay' for the bet by that cut off time. YOU MUST ALSO PROPOSE A $ AMOUNT FOR THAT BET. Any line changes will, unfortunately, be negligible. We can't limit who votes in polls so nominations and votes will all have to be posted in that week's thread. Please make sure that you understand how vig/juice works. If you don't, ask.

What do you guys have this week? Any early leanings?

The money won't be in in time to bet on Monday night football. Thursday night football yes(if we like it, also some college Thur and Fri).

How can we start betting when the monies aren't even in the account yet?

We don't fund an account when you go through "a guy". It's all explained in the OP in the other thread. We don't pay until we get down past our #. The money you are paypal'ing me is going to sit in my account so I don't have to front our guy $1k if we lose until all of you guys get around to sending me your share.

We could have theoretically bet as soon as he set up our login last week.

So yes, we can bet MNF but we only have 6 guys who have paid thus far and the likelihood of one of those guys nominating something and getting it voted on by some of the others who have paid and me seeing it before 8:30 is pretty much zero.

Propose away. The earlier in the week you do it the better. Lines will change drastically by Saturday am and value is everything. I want to leave this in your guys' hands as much as possible, so I won't propose much unless I sense we need the action.

Who the hell runs a golf league into October in Michigan?

I'd like to propose the GT duke game.

GT is giving up 5 but they hammered Duke last season, ran for 6 YPC and that Duke team would beat this Duke team's ass. It's at Bobby dodd and GT has beaten much better teams with wins at VT and at home against Miami. If I were a gambler, which I now officially am, that's where I'd put my money.

That said, it's cool if you guys don't feel as good as I do about that.

I also love Minny at home in a pickem at home against the kitties from NU.

Purdue lost by three touchdowns to CENTRAL MICHIGAN, and that's how much they're getting from MSU.

Those are the three I feel strongest about.

I'm good with the Purdue game even though it's away.

I'm not gonna try and convince anyone to go one way or the other, which is going to be hard not to do.  

I would be comfortable with up to $100 on each, although I'd prefer we don't do that for each game; I'd like to keep checking this thread in November.

That works for me (as in I vote yay) and thanks for fixing it.

Couple more feedback items:

I like the Wednesday cut off time. The lines are going to start going haywire on Friday and Saturday as a general rule once the public money starts flooding in.

It would also help if a line is close to a key number (in football, this is 3, 7, 10, 14, etc) if you say stuff like "I like MSU at -10 or better but if it's 10.5 or more at the cut off time, I would prefer to lay off."

You can also buy points in case you didn't know. As a general rule, each half point will cost you .10. If it's off of a key number (for example you're buying -3 to -2.5) it's usually going to cost you .20.

I like this group. It seems like we're all being really careful not to spend other people's money which is great but I'm also getting the sense that in general the group doesn't really give a fuck, which is also great.

push was to look more into it/get more input from group. Open to the bet, so not an outright no. If no other posts come, I would count a push as a Nay
