Post by tig ol bitties 2014-10-29, 17:52

Anyone interested?  Seems like most of america doesn't care.  Game 5 of the World Series was the least-watched WS Game 5 EVER.

I like KC to win it.   Somehow Ned Yost gonna get a ring with what will go down as one of the worst teams ever to win one.

Probably won't watch a ton though.

I'll be watching the NBA. Time for the MLB (and the NBA) to shorten their amount of games in a season.

I took the Royals +200 to win before last night's game, so go Royals.

About goddamn time you fellas noticed there was a great series going.

I was on the KC band wagon, tonight I'm off that. Just hoping for an epic game.

I think the giants have this one. Perez is hurting and bumgarner is going to come in soon.

This one's over, folks. Might as well be Cy Young himself on the mound for SF.

I don't think so. You guys are taking MB at face value. It's a different ballgame when these guys come in as relievers, on short rest. Rarely are they as dominant. We'll see.

Pounding the zone and they can't square anything up. Good point by Harold too, you can't run his pitch count up bc he'll just mow you down. He's just feeling it right now, kind of like that fucker Uehara last year against the Tigs. Feels like it's impossible to string a few base runners together. World Seris game 7 1896033241

Why is bumgarner always rubbing his nose? Reminds me of Neil young in the last waltz.

Gordon should've just said fuck it and gone home. Steam roll Posey and keep the game going. You knew perez was never getting a pitch to hit.

I thought the same thing, make them make the play. I think they had a shot at it.

This. I didn't even know there was a baseball game on. If they want the ratings to go up to capture the attention of casual fans like me, then end this shit before the heart of the college football season. Baseball should be done before the conference games start, which would be like a month ago.

Bumgarner has such a long, smooth delivery. Must be hard to pick the ball up coming out of his hand

Anyone besides me go a little crazy when you see a grown professional sliding into first base-Hosmer in the 3rd inning double play? not to mention its GAME 7 of the World Series? You're not Superman, run through that bag you fool!
If you have kids that play baseball, replay that over and over for them to show why you NEVER slide into first base, well that and maybe you can find the numerous clips of players getting injured doing the same thing.
Panik made a great play getting the guy at 2nd, Hosmer's out may or may not have made a difference, but it sure didn't help.

If he had run hard out of the box, he would have had a shot.

I watched a replay, I still think they should of ran him home. Force Crawford and Posey to make the play. He would have either been out by 5 feet or tied it up. I still think the odds were better than the next batter facing Bumgarner.
