It would seem like they could pony up to make the new "highest paid coach" if they wanted. And lord knows they have the damn cache to get recruits still. Seems like it would be a cake job. Only downside would be the media and "fans".

Harbaugh was rumored for ND last time (when they hired Kelly).

I can't see him going to ND, unless UM decided not to pay top dollar (and he then wanted to stick it to them...which given his ego, is possible).

Kelly would fit in great at UF. When he was getting fired I had heard a few stories from someone who claimed to be connected. Basically said that Kelly enjoyed a few prostitutes in the Saginaw area while he was coaching at CMU, but was told to put the kabash on that to coach at ND.

I thought one of the rumors was RRod to UF.

17 NFL Coaches make $5+ million/year (including both Harbaughs).

4 College Coaches make $5+ million/year (does not include Kelly, yet).

Florida will pay someone $5 million easy, especially if it's Kelly.

Michigan is a school that seems to be an the verge of de-emphasizing football (if you listen to their new Prez). Harbaugh will easily get at least $6 million/year to coach some NFL team (Giants, Jets, Falcons, Raiders, Bears, Cowboys), and a bidding war would push it much higher, and he will have to be bought out of his 49ers contract. Will Michigan sell their soul (when they want to de-emphasize football) for Jimmy?
