Good. This thing got tied up for a while because of that and it would have been funny if UF had to walk away after thinking they could get away with low balling it.

People "in the know" seem to rave about McElwain. I do wonder if UF really wanted him bad enough for $7 million or they just didn't want to look like idiots coming back with no coach.

I don't know what kind of buyout terms most of these smaller schools have (nor what level is high enough to really protect them), but it sure seemed smart of CSU to structure it this way. Any coach that has one good season at a small school is going to get raided. Amazing the dump truck of money that a big school will arrive with in this college football arms race.

UM must be ready to pay what $5 million? $10 million a year?
