Only 3 bowl games not on ESPN?

Going forward, it appears only the Sun Bowl and Citrus Bowl are not on ESPN. Is this right? Will any of these games air on ABC, or are they strictly on ESPN?

I think when E$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$PN bought the CFP they pretty much bought America.

I'm not usually a ESPN conspiracy theorist, but it doesn't take much of a stretch to imagine some serious conflict of interest issues with one network essentially owning all of the bowls and also owning a tremendous financial interest in a network for one conference in particular..l

This is why people got laughed at when they claimed that ESPN doesn't influence anything. I remember Miami Spartan citing that because Alvarez and Osbourne were on the committee, it wasn't to be worried about.

Owning the bowls? Good lord, how much power do you think having the broadcast rights gives a network over the bowl games themselves? About diddley and poo.

With the exception of the PAC-12 Netwrok all the conference networks are at least partly owned by one of the broadcast companies. B1G is with Fox, Mountain West is with CBS & Comcast. BTW, PAC-12 claims to be independent but they broadcast out of the Comcast Bay Ares facitlities so I'm not sure if they're as independent as they claim to be.

Also ESPN (or Disney Worldwide) is only broadcasting one more bowl this year than the previous several years. Last year was Fox's last year with the Cotton Bowl.

But I was referring to the owning the broadcast rights. And I'm not sure what to tell you if you don't understand the influence that has over the bowls themselves. Sponsors don't pay bowls if they don't get TV coverage. They don't pay as much if their time slot isn't satisfactory. It goes on and on.
