A moment of silence for the cullen...
All,
Heat has graciously agreed to be the cull-master and implement the cullpening (in his own time people, chillax).
We've decided to change the inactivity window to 120 days (which is a whole football season more or less). The reasoning being, if you haven't posted here for an entire football season, you're probably not a regular poster. Yeah, whatever, I know.
The cullen shall be stripped of their place in the Gerousia and de-badged. I am updating the charter to accommodate the change with the only additional change being that inactivity assessments can happen at any time at the discretion of the Ephorate.
Once again, I can't begin to express how grateful we should all be to Heat for the amount of time he has invested in this site.
Happy Culling, and Those who stay, will be ....<gag> ...sorry, couldn't do that. Threw up in my mouth a little there.

Ha, hopefully, they'll come back and become active posters. Then we'll vote them back into the Gerousia!

It isn't like anyone would notice, since they haven't posted here since before football started.

Your faux outrage is misdirected. I didn't cull anyone.

I'll miss the bastion of emotional security and intellectual depth - the Gringo Gimp from Guadalajara..

Re: A moment of silence for the cullen...
120 days makes sense.
Is there a list of who was dropped?
Also, was there a vote on changing it from 1 year to 120 days? Or is that some kind of executive power type decision? Just curious as to how that works.

It had to be an executive decision because under the previous model, no vote could possibly pass due to a lack of voter turnout.

Phil - It was exercised as a discretionary change to the charter. There is a stipulation that this is possible in the first year of our existence as we settle in.
Joe - Yes, they are no longer members of the Gerousia but can still participate in discussions. They've been de-badged and demoted to Spartiates.

Can we pick just one? I'm not a good multi-tasker.

When will the book "The Culling" authored by NigelUno be available to read?

let's go with a champion of free speech... being a great American and damn fine Spartan is inherently implied if you're a champion of free speech.SeeRockCity wrote:

I think the culled need to have some type of distinction. I don't want them to be the same internet message board status as me. They should be shamed in some way. Perhaps even actively ridiculed.
