No way these two losses are remotely comparable.
Wisconsin deserved the win yesterday. They played well and held us to 0 points in OT. They are a good team. I was over it by the time the selection show started.
2011 was luck, bad officiating, and a rent-a-qb in the inaugural B1GCCG. That one still stings.

What a horrible comparison. This thread alone does OTPT should be stripped of his mod duties so he can be properly ignored. Like someone else on this board already has.

Nah, OTPT is good people, just a young whipper snapper. He'll find his way.

Spartans exceeded my expectations in the B1G tourney. Had Wisconsin on the ropes but could not finish.
Not disappointed with the loss. It will help keep them humble and hungry, just like they should be headed to the dance. Must admit #7 seed is a bummer...was hoping for #6

This is all true, but the HUGE difference between the two were the stakes involved. First Rose Bowl in 26 years versus maybe, at best, a 6 seed instead of a 7 (which is really pretty inconsequential).SeeRockCity wrote:No way these two losses are remotely comparable.

OTPT is my homie, breh. You steppin to a real dangerous, hard hittin' squad, homie. Betta step back or you's gonna get stacked by some real OG's. Straight street reppin dawgs, watch yoself.

Deserved a 6 with the loss IMO. A 5 or maybe even a 4 with a winMiamiSpartan wrote:

Oh for sure. That made me realize we were essentially seeded before the game, maybe even before the start of the BTT. If beating a Top 10 team, then outplaying another Top 10 before losing in an OT that shouldn't have happened, didn't move us above 7, then the ref doing his job on one play wouldn't have moved us much higher either. Feels like the committee didn't want to consider results that would mess up the work they already did. But hey, we could be in a worse region, so hopefully a good run still happens for us.The Pantry wrote:Deserved a 6 with the loss IMO. A 5 or maybe even a 4 with a win

Because he's a 20(ish) year old kid who, in the heat of the moment, thought he could help his team win the ball game by making a play. Same reason Connor Cook threw that lame duck right into the hands of the Baylor defender in the Cotton Bowl.
Shit happens in sports I guess. And I know you already know the answer.

I doubt LWS was at both of these games. Roller coaster of emotions. Had some good coin on it as well.
