Dane Fife mentioned for HC job

It occurred to me last night that there had been very little buzz about MSU assistants for HC jobs. Seemed strange when you think about all the success we've had.

Now it seems that has changed:

Michigan State assistant Dane Fife is in the mix at Green Bay, sources told ESPN. Former SIU coach Chris Lowery also on radar.

Might be a good thing for him to get some experience running the show. Or do you give him a big raise and have him stay on board for promoting within?

He'd be taking a pay cut and he had 6 years of HC experience on his resume when Izzo hired him. No reason to head to another mid major or less.

It would be great if Fife got that job.

agreed. Plus it will give him some seasoning for the job when izzo retires since all his other asst have been busts at long term head jobs
