I wish they would stop destroying the grass every summer at Comerica because of some concert when Ford Field is right next door. Maybe when the new Wings arena is opened because of ownership....

i was there. skipped out of school that day. do you remember during the intermissions the crowd would try to rush on to the field and the security guards stood in front of them and threw spin kicks into the masses just knocking the crap out of every random 20th person?

The Rolling Stones are in their 70s. It's time for them to be put out to pasture.

11/30/81 & 12/1/81 I was at both shows.

Had to check myself out of the hospital to go because I didn't want to miss seeing the Stones one "last" time. I thought they were getting pretty old then, amazing that they're still touring in 2015. You could have won a BUNCH of $$ betting on that.

My most vivid memory other than the show was in the parking lot afterward. We'd taken a local bands box truck down so we could take easy chairs and a keg to drink on the way. We were sitting there working on finishing the keg when a car waiting to exit started burning about 30 feet from us. Of course with all the traffic no one could move so about 500 people just stood around and watched this poor sap's car burn up.
